3) The hero in my film isn't really afraid of anything, but if there was one thing he had to be afraid of was staying alive and the tribe that kills humans. He faces his fears because the tribe kills all the other humans that were trying to rescue him.

1) A situation at school was i was being nice and but the person i was talking to was in a bad mood and was being really rude. That got me mad, and he was already in a bad mood so we argued and almost fought.

Forgettable yesterday-
I really liked this story, it reminded me a lot of the movie hang over because they are a bunch of friends that don't remember what happened, and how they ended up where they were. I liked the description of the characters, and the way the story was told.

1) Inception, insidious, alpha dog. In the movie inception, the ending has the top spinning to show whether he is in a dream or not but the top doesn't fall over meaning his is in a dream. I through me off guard because he just woke up from his dream. In insidious the old woman takes over the fathers body, and it through me off guard because he and his son were fine, until the woman took a picture of him and he went crazy. In the movie alpha dog i didn't think the hostage would get killed because they had such a good relationship with the kid and the kid felt no threat around them, he actually enjoyed being around them.

3) One trick i pulled off was fooling my parents that i did my hw when i was younger. It didn't last long because my mom checked my grades online, but i lied and told them i had no homework. Other than that i didn't have any other tricks in mind.

The Woman- The woman told the two men to fight to the death for her, and whoever was to win would receive her as a prize. The woman was raped by the bandit and faints with the dagger in her hand thinking she killed her husband the samurai. 

The Woodcutter- The woodcutter lied in the beginning by saying that he only saw the body but later he tells the truth and explains the whole fight and how it resulted.

The Bandit- They had an epic and courageous battle, while they were in battle the woman runs off. The bandit makes the battle sound very intense by saying they clashed swords many times. 

The Samurai- The samurai lost the fight between him and the bandit but he survived. The Bandit and the woman ran off so the samurai killed himself. 

I think the bandits story was the true story because everyone else seemed to try and make themselves look good and the bandit didn't 

Concept 36

In my non linear story a character named john is stuck in a forest but is dreaming. In his dream he cannot escape this jungle into safety. Three ways to solve the conflict is people fly in from a helicopter and save him, he sees a village and lives there, he gets killed and wakes up. When the helicopter tries to save him the helicopter crashes, the village he sees hate outsiders, and he never dies to wake up.

1) Luke skywalker from the scale of 1-10 risked everything to get what he had to do done, so i scale him 10

2) If i was in Luke Skywalkers position i would try my best to do more but if not i'll probably do just as much as he did.

3) One time i took a risk betting all my money and even a little extra i didn't have on a boxing fight. I wanted more money to spend on someone. The outcome came out to be helpful to me because i won all the money.

Quickwrite

In the movie Vantage Point the different perspectives show the scene in different ways. The bad guys were different depending on the perspective you looked at. When i was watching it i couldn't tell who the bad guy was, until i saw it from all the perspectives. The different perspective showed certain scenes that other perspectives didn't show. I thought it was a great movie, i loved the story, the different scenes and perspectives.

If i could possess any super power i would want to be in two places at once. Be able to clone or multiply into to people. If this power were used in the hands of a villain I would have a hard time defeating him/her. I wouldn't know how to stop him other than killing all of his clones. Even then he'll just endlessly multiply, I was thinking of keeping him in one room confined but he can always multiply into other places and escape.

Eternal Sunshine

I really liked this movie. The fact that they were in his head, and erased his memory makes it different from the other movies. I thought it was very unique, i enjoyed it. I thought the fact it was told not in chronological order added to the theme.

One time me and my brother were going to take the light rail downtown to watch a friends gymnastic performance and before we bought our ticket two people gave us their tickets after they got off. It was very nice of them, and i realized how good of an idea it was knowing i wouldn't use that ticket again, so the next time i got off with a ticket and someone is trying to buy i politely gave it to them.

If I were doing a thirty second commercial on insurance I would have relate it to kids losing or breaking their laptops at the school. Many people don't get insurance thinking they won't lose or break it, but I have many friends that do lose or break their laptop and end up having to pay a large amount of money. I would make it dramatic, showing how stressed the kid is, and how much work he has to put into getting money to pay the debt off. That will show the audience that its better to be safe than sorry and purchase insurance.

Thatcher should ask Linda the question over lunch at her favorite care. It private in a way, and she was trying to be alone for private time. He would have had a short sweet conversation to lead up to asking her. She is confused and doesn't know what to do, whether she should let him copy or let suffer the consequences of not doing his work. Even though she doesn't feel good about it, she helps him out.

2)Schreiber's Class.
Skit: A student in class throws a gum at another student, and only one person witnessed it. The foreign exchanged student saw it and didn't know what to do. If he should tell and suffer the consequences of being a "tattle teller". He didn't know what to do because he wanted to be accepted. He approached the victim and told her who threw the gum at her. The person who threw the gum from then bullied the foreign exchanged student.

3) I would like my short story to be at a school, house and the streets. All the events happen at those places.

Period 4 pilot 8

I really like the story and the conflict. Its very unique, everyone, including me, is writing about typical high school problems like pregnancy and drugs but i haven't heard a story about a teacher sexually harassing a student. I think its very creative. The format was perfect, grammar was good.

Groundhog day

The non linear structure was used by having the day repeat over and over. This is my favorite non linear movie we've seen in this class. I thought it was clever how they made the day repeat, and I loved the ending. I was thinking throughout the movie how they could end it, and they did a great job. I never saw it coming. I really enjoyed it.

I really liked this story. It was great and had my attention the whole time. The beginning wasn't boring so i really liked it. Its hard introducing characters without being a little boring but the they did a great job. The situation really had me into the story. A title would be nice. The format looks different, It should be in screenplay template. I think it would be nice to have a little introduction of the characters explaining how they are. It was a little confusing switching from person to person reading the text. I think it was a little slow, maybe a little humor or suspense.

I liked the story, I really like the how detailed it was and the teacher was very mean but i think it was reality because some teachers are like that. There were a couple of typos but other than that i thought it was good. I think the kids dialogue should be more like how kids talk, not as formal.

It was very interesting watching an old school horror movie. Its probably the oldest scary movie I have seen and it was good. A little different from the movies we see today, for example the music is different. In newer movies its more quiet, and there is a sudden noise to scare the crowd. The story was great, I liked this movie.

I really like the story, and the conflict. Its a little confusing when you switch from mom to lauren. There are a couple spelling errors but other than that, I think you guys did a great job.

because the story was great, and it had was scary. A lot of movies are just scary with no point or story to it.

I didn't completely understand the story, but it was scary. The story didn't grasp my attention.

My character is unique because he goes through the peer pressure and high school problems but deals with them. I don't know how i can introduce him in a unique way. My characters problems are that he is giving into peer pressure and he really wants to ask a special girl out to the dance. His obstacles are that he does heroin thinking it'll make everything work. He resolves them by getting his life straight, quitting heroin, and everything falls into place.

My So called life

Ideas I would use are the drama between the girls, and how the girl really wants the guy. 

Ideas that don't appeal to me is i don't like how the guy sang a song and just walks off like nothing happened. Like he wants her to chase him, i don't thing someone would act like that.

One issue that I strongly feel about is people doing drugs, dropping out, or doing really bad in school. If I was doing a 15 minute short my character would be my friend, my location would be high school. I chose that setting because high school is where you start turning your life around. You can start making the right choices, starting by getting good grades. I would use film with drama, and pathos to get to the viewers heart.

This picture really interests me. It shows a really big family having a nice dinner together. Everyones doing different things, its very wild and filled with fun. They all look like they have a good healthy relationship with each other, no ones mad, smiling faces all around the table. There are beers on the table, it shows that they are fun, and like to drink. The two oldest people, look like the grandma and grandpa of the family, are serving fresh kfc. That shows that they don't have much money, but they make the best of what they have. I think making best of what you have and family bonding time is very important. It can make a lot better.

My theme is getting what you want, and fighting for it. I chose it because I like the topic, I find it very interesting, and there could be a lot of conflicts throughout the story.

Citizen Kane- non- linear movies

I enjoyed the non linear structure, it was very different. Its nice seeing something different and not so cliche. One advantage is that its different, and sort of a twist like structure. A disadvantage is some people might say its confusing and messy, something you might have to watch several of times to fully understand the concept of the movie.

Kim and Lindsay become friends

That episode was my favorite because it was very funny and the conflict interested me. I thought it was very entertaining throughout the whole episode, I didn't expect things like that to happen. I really like how Lindsay was supportive and so was her family. It was interesting seeing that side of Kim, and befriending Lindsay the way she did.

School is so boring. I wish we could all just leave and hang out somewhere, really want to see that band in town. Maybe I could take Lindsay.

My best scene is when he throws his clothes and papers around the room. I think its my best and favorite because its funny and shows that he's really in a rush. My worst scene would probably be the quick shower scene because there isn't much I can show. I can improve on making it more descriptive.

brainstorm

there are two characters a boy and a monster. They are in the forest. The problem is the boy is blind but the monster gives him a couple of his eyes. The film was about 5 minutes long, I liked the humor and sensitive part of the clip.  If you were to add more events then it could possibly be a two hour long film. The scene that could stand out on its own is when the monster eats all the food and helps him see. It could be broken down and more detailed into one long short film.
