1) Insidious
because the story was great, and it had was scary. A lot of movies are just scary with no point or story to it.
2)The Ring
I didn't completely understand the story, but it was scary. The story didn't grasp my attention.
3) Shutter
The story was also good, it wasn't too scary. There was a good story line but the movie overall wasn't that great.

What is the problem for your character or characters? What are the obstacles? How is the problem resolved?

My character is unique because he goes through the peer pressure and high school problems but deals with them. I don't know how i can introduce him in a unique way. My characters problems are that he is giving into peer pressure and he really wants to ask a special girl out to the dance. His obstacles are that he does heroin thinking it'll make everything work. He resolves them by getting his life straight, quitting heroin, and everything falls into place.

My So called life

Ideas I would use are the drama between the girls, and how the girl really wants the guy. 

Ideas that don't appeal to me is i don't like how the guy sang a song and just walks off like nothing happened. Like he wants her to chase him, i don't thing someone would act like that.

One issue that I strongly feel about is people doing drugs, dropping out, or doing really bad in school. If I was doing a 15 minute short my character would be my friend, my location would be high school. I chose that setting because high school is where you start turning your life around. You can start making the right choices, starting by getting good grades. I would use film with drama, and pathos to get to the viewers heart.

This picture really interests me. It shows a really big family having a nice dinner together. Everyones doing different things, its very wild and filled with fun. They all look like they have a good healthy relationship with each other, no ones mad, smiling faces all around the table. There are beers on the table, it shows that they are fun, and like to drink. The two oldest people, look like the grandma and grandpa of the family, are serving fresh kfc. That shows that they don't have much money, but they make the best of what they have. I think making best of what you have and family bonding time is very important. It can make a lot better.

My theme is getting what you want, and fighting for it. I chose it because I like the topic, I find it very interesting, and there could be a lot of conflicts throughout the story.

Citizen Kane- non- linear movies

I enjoyed the non linear structure, it was very different. Its nice seeing something different and not so cliche. One advantage is that its different, and sort of a twist like structure. A disadvantage is some people might say its confusing and messy, something you might have to watch several of times to fully understand the concept of the movie.
